Chinmaya Sewa Ashram in Laoua-Laxmanpur, Rewa, is a profound spiritual sanctuary rooted in the teachings of Advaita Vedanta, offering a structured retreat for seekers of Self-realization. Functioning under the Chinmaya Sewa Trust Rewa, its essence lies in providing a disciplined, serene environment where individuals can diligently engage in inner transformation by studying the sacred scriptures, primarily the Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads, under the guidance of a spiritual teacher. It is a modern-day Gurukula that bridges the gap between scriptural knowledge (Jnana) and devotional practice (Bhakti), ultimately guiding the sadhak towards experiencing the eternal bliss and non-duality of the Almighty (Brahman) by transcending the limitations of the ego and the material world.

City Centre

Chinmaya Shree

City Centre

Location: H.No. 621, Chinmaya Mission Marg
Near Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Karahi, Rewa.

Facilities: Administration Office, Classrooms for Study Groups

Activities: Youth Classes, Workshops, Discourses, Office Administration

Chinmaya Shree Asharam, serving as the registered office and city centre, is a vibrant spiritual sanctuary founded on the principle of sacrifice and dedication, exemplified by the generous donation of the property by the late Brigadier A. K. Shrivastava VSM. Situated serenely on the bank of the Beehar river, the ashram draws upon the natural tranquility of the flowing water to foster inner calm, making it an ideal environment for contemplative living and learning. This centre is the dynamic pulse of the Mission's outreach, seamlessly blending devotion with intellectual rigor: it hosts spirited Yuva Kendra classes for youth empowerment, regular weekly and monthly discourses, and in-depth study group sessions on the scriptures. Beyond its scheduled programs, it functions as a welcoming temporary home for visiting Swamis and Brahmacharies, ensuring that the light of Vedantic wisdom remains continually present and accessible, transforming a former house into a true ashram—a place dedicated to spiritual effort and the holistic development of the community's mind, heart, and spirit.

Chinmaya Chhaya

Chinmaya Chhaya

Community Hall

Location: Silapri Village, Rewa

Facilities: Community Hall, Shree Hanuman Ji Temple

Activities: Daily Pooja & Aarti, Satsang, Village Welfare Programs

Chinmaya Chhaya in Silpari village, near Rewa, stands not just as a shrine, but as a living testament to the holistic spiritual principle of Selfless Service (Seva), making it a true refuge (Chhaya). Born from the tragedy of the 1997 floods, this project exemplifies the Chinmaya Mission's core teaching that true spirituality must be manifest in action. The renovation of the ancient Shri Hanuman temple and the construction of a community hall transformed a site of disaster into a center for spiritual and social upliftment. Here, daily pooja and satsang (spiritual discourse) nourish the devotional heart (Bhakti Yoga), while periodical classes on Vedic scriptures cultivate the inquiring mind (Jnana Yoga). Chinmaya Chhaya is a harmonious integration of worship, study, and community well-being, serving as a holistic hub where villagers are spiritually empowered, physically supported, and inspired to recognize the divine not only in the deity but also in the service of their fellow beings.

Chinmaya Uparati

Chinmaya Uparati

Island of Silence and Transformation

Location: Govindgarh Lake Island, Rewa

Facilities: 1.27 Acres Campus, Meditation Hall, Retreat Rooms, Shiva Linga

Activities: Mauna Sadhana (Silence Retreats), Deep Meditation Camps

Chinmaya Uparati Ashram is a unique spiritual retreat, strategically situated on an island within the Govindgarh Lake, the largest lake in the Vindhya region. This geographic isolation is integral to its spiritual purpose, creating a profound environment dedicated to absolute inner transformation. The entire 1.27 acre campus is meticulously designed as a haven for Mauna Sadhana (vow of silence) and deep meditation, fulfilling a visionary dream project of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Ji. The presence of a consecrated Shivlingam anchors the space in powerful spiritual energy, symbolizing the ultimate reality that is changeless and silent. With its dedicated satsang hall, modern kutiyas (huts), and kitchen, the ashram provides the necessary infrastructure for seekers—such as Swamini Vimlananda Ji, who undertook a month-long silence here—to focus purely on Karma, Bhakti, and Jnana Yoga away from the noise of the world. It is a holistic island sanctuary where the purity of nature aids the purity of mind, guiding the aspirant toward the experience of the Self through profound stillness.
